Here I stand
Lighting up the street for you,
I wait here everyday watching you as you pass.
You barely seem to give me one short glance.
When I'm no longer seen at all,
When my light for you burns out,
You will curse the man that forgot about me,
That forgot how important I am on your long nights,
The nights that I help your drowsy eyes come alive.
Here I stand
Waiting for my light.
