Like A Flower
Like a flower
Blooming in the spring,
I thought we
Would never die.
But every season
Has an end.
Every year
Has a winter.
A flower,
Once so plentiful in beauty,
Must one day shrivel,
Must someday die.
Our winter
Was a hard one.
For a flower,
There is always spring.
But we
Are caught
In an eternal winter.
