Wedding Day
As the trumpets blared their wonderful tune,
I stared in awe with all hate immune.
This is the day when I got married,
With professions of love and all fears buried.
As the bride walked down the aisle with her beautiful white dress,
I knew this is the moment my heart will caress.
Her father walked down the aisle, entrusting me to her.
I will keep my promise and love her forever.
As the priest read scriptures permitting each other to love,
I prayed that our life together will soar like a dove.
For my love for her is like a rose, too beautiful to let go.
Till’ death does us apart, even then I will love her so.
As I embraced the kiss that signed the seal,
I thought in my mind that it’s a done deal.
I can now love her forever; my love will never end.
To her, I say, my love will never bend.
It will not waiver or fall.
I will never stop loving you at all.
My love for you is grand
Like a trombone band.
As I walked from the altar,
I prayed that my love will never falter.
Because this is the day that I got married,
With professions of love and all fears buried.
