The Colors of my Life
Pale yellow is the color I see every morning when I put on this unwanted gray mask
Bright yellow is the color of my face when I step on this stage expressing the real me
Black with a strip of silver is the color of the mic’ which I spit my whole life story
Gray is the color of my shadow trying to prohibit the “REAL” me from coming out
Red is the color of my blood falling into tiny holes in the mic’ representing the holes and scars from this unwanted mask
The clear black holes represent all the missing links in me
They represent how many times I’ve screamed for help while at rock bottom
Brownish, bluish, reddish outlined with tan scab is stuck on my face
Because this blue, mask is in the process of being engraved in my face
These are the colors of my life
