Gazing into darkness:
I picture your smile.
I think of your touch.
I imagine your kiss.
I hear your voice.

I see us fifteen years from now,
But a dream is only a dream.
Reality means opportunity,
But when the odds aren’t in my favor,
Dreaming is my satisfaction.

For your attraction lets me not part
From the one whom my heart belongs.
The wounds of your separation
Makes it harder to survive.
Always confiding in someone,

It’s the only way to stay alive.
Alive in your happiness,
In your joy, in the optimism you feel,
In the love, in the passion, in loyalty which causes me to heal.

My mind ages, but my heart stays young.
Its adolescence gives the excessive yearning,
Characterized as simply wanting you.
Running will do no good,
When you're still on my mind when the day is through.

So what do I do?
I close my eyes to dream of the day.
The day when it will be second nature to say:
I love you.
And I do.
