Deaf.
Her eyes wonder the room
Searching for a safe haven
Left, right, left, right
it ticks in a repeated manner
She zooms in on her mentor's eloquent hands
They swish in a fluid motion
Like water trickling from the nozzle of a water
fountain
And gushing down a man's throat
satisfying his quenching thirst
The fingers move in a rhythmic pattern
Up, down, In, Out
They speak an altered language
hard to understand by many
But still manage to harmonize with the rest of the
mechanism
She turns around
and spots a slobbering beast
His gun-like mouth shoots a series of droplets
that rain down his chin.
His navy-blue sleeves
corrode against his rosy lips
Soaking the puddle of saliva
The sight was a normal humans nightmare
and a schizophrenics reality
The herd of animals stampede over each other
growling, running,
Like several beats of a loud snare drum
Like being seated in a deafening rock concert
Her eyes close in horror
the ghastly sounds
too much to bear
Her delicate hands graze along the side of her ear
and push a little button.
And then everything went silent.
