hide your tears
You can only
Fight the tears
And sadness
For so long
Before it comes
Out like rain
Pouring down your face
Twisted into sadness
You still try to fight it
Push it back
It comes harder
And the rain continues
The sadness continues
You stop fighting
And let it come down
Not completely sure
What you’re crying for
Not just one thing
But all the things
That’s what you’re crying for
You finally stop
Deep into the night
Maybe you’ve fallen asleep
With tears still on your cheeks
When you wake up
You wipe your eyes
And continue life
Like you never cried
The cycle repeats
In a few months
Or years
But you still
Will always
Hide your tears
