Prometheus
The darkness of the hollow is the sanctuary
Outside bares worse then the cold dark
What’s out there will end you
The beginning of the cold hands of death dragging ever closer
But then a man came and not just a man a colossus of a man
And in his hand is the sun trapped in this tight grip
It glowed of heat and of reds orange yellow
This man had a determined and yet curious look to his golden tinted face
He placed the sun upon the cold earth
It gave birth to another sun
As if created to multiply and spread
The colossus gestured one of us to take his sun
As one of ours took the sun in young eyes
I saw his face tense up and worry
The new sun bearer made another sun just as bright as the first
Then another and another
The space glowed of the reds and yellows and oranges
The world began to feel revolved around us
The tall colossus began to turn and walk away
And on his face was a pride smeared smile
But in his eyes you can see the guilt stricken fate of a criminal.
