Hole.
That hole--
I don't think that thing really belongs in your chest
How could you not notice that extreme emptiness
It couldn't have always been like that, it had to have happened with time
Oh now I remember, it was filled by that guy!
When that guy said he loved you— swore that he did
You couldn't stop smiling and falling for him
But then he left, dissolved, vanished from sight
And then that GIANT hole just appeared over night
Yup, that was it. Positively sure.
You hope that some other boy will supply some sort of cure
But you know there won't be. You know he was the one.
It wasn't just another fling of young and stupid love.
You gave your heart to him. You believed and you trusted.
Oh...I suppose that hole was where your heart used to be found in
