Breathe MAG
You taunt me
Black ink upon a page;
Perfect, fluid characters formed
By a smooth fountain pen;
Thriving on energy
Breathe;
The exhalation causes my lungs to quiver,
Vocal folds act as puppets
Crashing together;
You are the puppeteer;
The lost raspy voice,
Wispy and breathy is caused by you;
The voice that knew so precisely what to say
Becomes mute;
You are the cyclic repetition,
Syllables learned
Before first steps;
Yet the words do not flow,
They collide as cars upon
Frail ice, you; Y-O-U
Why must you breathe in all of the energy,
Hauling it away?
Breathe; B-R-E-A-T-H-E.
