I fear we are drifting
I fear we are drifting my friend
your on one boat and i am on another
drifting in rapids
loosing sight through the white walls
Loosing our grip bumping through rocks
I fear we are drifting apart my love
you have fallen overboard
as hard as i try to throw you a raft
you are to far away
floating in the sea alone
I fear we are drifting apart my brother
you are miles ahead
i try to keep up but my feet trip over one another
you speed out of sight
leaving me behind in the dust
i sit and remember slow and steady wins the race
I fear i am drifting apart
I see myself fading
i see the real me being abandoned
i see a stranger in my shoes
i see my reflection turning new.
