Upside Down
Smiling,
At a mere mention.
Laughing,
At the simplest attention.
On the simplest causes of joy.
No need to be coy,
Only honest.
The opposite gem of onyx.
Clear as a summer sky.
Never once asking why,
You're by me.
It's like you can see,
All that is true,
Within the deep sea blue
Of her heart.
Turn every word into a work of art,
With a quick glance.
Hoping for a chance,
To turn the world upside down.
Finally rid of the frown,
Pushing back the gloom,
Preventing the unrelenting doom,
And letting in the sunshine.
Which only makes me even more grateful,
That you are mine.
