Green With Envy To Pink Happiness
GREEN
Green is pure envy.
It’s like jealousy.
Green is the best friend who wasn’t picked as maid of honor.
Green can break a friendship.
But green can also be hopeful spring.
Green signifies the awakening of the Earth
after sleeping for winter.
RED
Red is resentment.
Red is lipstick stained cheeks
and anger towards ex- boyfriends.
Red is burning in my cheeks.
It is stinging hurt feelings
making me blush ever so red.
Red is a blistering sunburn,
there, for a couple days,
as a reminder that I was stupid
and forgot sunscreen.
PURPLE
Purple is bittersweet.
Purple is dark chocolate M&M’s
when you really have a sweet tooth.
Purple just doesn’t cut it.
Purple is left out.
PINK
Pink is bubbly, fizzing happiness,
Pink is getting ready for prom.
It’s the tingly tickly feeling
in my stomach.
Pink is walking into a surprise birthday party.
