Hold out on your wish,
Strive to stay in the background.
You can tell your friends,
You can tell your family.
That idea will keep you warm,
As you sit in the frigid home,
Which holds your complacency.
You won't go out,
Your dream will die.
And even with all this knowledge,
I still hate to know you'll cry.
