Paul Revere’s modern ride
I sat on my motorcycle as I waited,
I was sweating buckets because I was anticipated,
My heart stopped as I got the text,
It was the text that would determine what was coming next.
I started the engine with a loud roar,
As I started to move I felt my heart soar,
I went 160 miles per hour,
I took a glance at the north church tower,
The lights flickered twice so they were coming by sea,
I had to ride fast or toast I would be.
Behind me I heard a siren, it’s a cop!!
I laughed to myself and yelled, “I’ll never stop!!”
I got caught but will get out in the morning,
But don’t worry 2 others my message will be informing,
That battle we sure did win,
God please forgive the cops for their big sin,
This means freedom for all of us,
Because this was more than just a fuss,
People died for our sake,
And know this bond no one can brake.
So now you know the tale of Paul Revere,
And you my children have my biggest sincere,
So do not cry and don’t be sad,
Cause you can make a change no matter how bad.
