The fizzle of a bottle opening
Pick,
Tear,
Slowly you remember
What it means to feel
The shadows
Of doubt
A suffocating worry
Slowly setting in
That you can't seem
To push aside.
Poisonous grins,
Set aside just for you
While the demons lick
At your titillating fears
But soon the shadows
Start to fade
The cobwebs pushed away
Light slowly pours in
As you gasp for reality
Safe in their arms,
You rest your head
Their gentle eyes
Blanketing you with
Peace,
Warmth,
Love
You are not alone
Not anymore
