Hiding in the dark, covered by the night. Hiding out of view, staying out of sight. Hunger rumbles, thoughts shooed, hiding in the dark.

Lay down in an old rag bed, think of insults people have said. were is the next meal? no one knows. Frost bites at his ears and nose.

A lowly tramp, in a shop doorway, staying there till hes shooed away. Walking about without an aim, listening to the children call him names.

He lets them all have there fun and when the hot lonely day is done,it becomes a cold lonely night, mind reeling, riddled with fright. Hiding in the cover of the night.

Hiding in the dark, covered by the night. Hiding out of view, staying out of sight. Hunger rumbles, thoughts tumbling , hiding in the dark.

I was inspired to write this after seeing a homeless person in town.
