The Change
Lime Green with Black Veins:
I am lime green with black veins, Bright and cheerful on the outside ,but afraid and misunderstood in the inner depths of my mind. Hiding in the thoughts of self-doubt afraid of not being accepted i out on a brave face and power through the long dragging days.Being myself sometimes is not an option; people can be cruel.
Splattered:
The lime green fades, the black cracks grow together. Other colors break into the green; splashes of oranges, yellows, purples, and blues pop up growing and shaping. The green fades but never disappears always staying to remind you who you are and who you used to be. Painted over in a new light, to see a new perspective on the world. Making sure you never go back to the old ways, not ashamed of the old just proud of the new. The colors always changing, never staying still. simply moving through our lives like people. Who bring their colors and change my colors.
