Country Music
Finally, I can listen to our song and
not shed a tear, and the song
you'd sing when I held you close
doesn't sound so lovely anymore,
but I'd still like to hear and I'm okay,
I still play that Journey album
every now and then
and I still like those songs I sang
teaching you about classic rock
when we danced hand in hand
but every time I listen to a
country song talking about forever
so sweet and earnestly
I think that if coming this far
took you away I might as well
keep going, all the way to Tennessee
and find a nice boy who
drives a truck, loves Jesus, and
means it when he says he loves me
