Missing You
I'm missing you
like plants miss rain
you're the only one I see
you were not a want
but a necessity
I loved you with my entire being
yet, when I look into your eyes
I don't know what you're seeing
do you see me as I see myself
lonely, pathetic, ugly even
or do you see me as I once saw you
a beautiful being
who has seemingly nothing
but holds knowledge as wealth
do you long for me as I do you
or have you moved on with love
because this is how you look
can it really be true
have you left me here
loving you
