Control
We are in each others sight, but our eyes never meet.
I see you, but you don't see me.
Afraid, afraid to speak up to you.
You are my biggest fear. I am your biggest confusion.
Two-faced I am, perfect you are. I'm tired of it.
I travel through life, trying to be as perfect as you want.
I'm tired of it. I love you, but I don't like the mask,
the mask you hold against your face whenever we're in each other presence.
When will you see, I am not only your daughter,
but an individual. One who needs to make mistakes for myself.
Experience life. Why do I stand as an outcast apart from the others?
What makes me different? I am only a human, trying...
Trying to figure out what you already know. I have curiosities too.
I want to live, too. Pretty soon, I'll be free from all. Nobody can stop me.
