Mind Games
Life is like a game of hide and seek.
A game that you always lose.
Then again, it's also like a game of tag.
The monster of your memories and mistakes and regrets chases you down, and you run.
You run until your legs ache and your lungs burn and your throat feels like it's closing up on you.
But it always catches you.
And you hide. You find a corner in the darkest part of the shadows. You curl into a ball and don't even allow yourself to breathe, fearing that the monster might hear you.
But it always finds you.
Come out, come out, wherever you are...
