Can the mirrior call me beautiful?
I wish.
Maybe I would cry a little less, maybe I would smile instead of froun.
We have this little game you see, who can make who cry first.
It's an even score of course.
When I look into the mirror, the tears stream down my face,
this face that I want to tear away.
Take off the mask, this, this ugly mask.
It hides all my beauty.
Oh mirror, please mirror, tell me I'm beautiful.
How many times do I have to ask?
Mirror, when can I take off this ugly mask.

All of us fave failed to match our dream of perfection. I rate us on the basis of our splendid failure to do the impossible. -William Faulkner

Wow! This was heartbreakingly beautiful! This is the stuff that people should read, the things that makes a person think harder about how people torture themselves with their own mind. I did notice a couple mistakes but that's all right,, this poem is kind of better with them. It makes it look fragile and marred rather than perfect, a nice metaphor within a  metaphor. Great job!

The more control you have over yourself, the less control others have over you.

This is a great poem! It flows really nice.. it has a bit of a rythym to it even though it doesn't ryhme the whole way through and that's really good. There is a lot of emotion in here and I really like this! Good job! Xx!
