Always
I found the place,
Remembering the lost face,
Our, now mine, little hide-out,
Where we used to shout,
No one would care,
We didn’t have to be fair,
But you Always were.
Now I’m alone,
I don’t even have my phone,
I’m okay,
That’s what we like to say,
What we Always knew.
But were we?
What were we meant to be?
Now that it has Ended,
Already carefully tended,
I don’t need to strive,
Because I am alive,
I was there for you,
You were there for me too,
You Always were.
I saw it with my eyes,
All the lies,
You came through,
You Always do.
