Unconnected Love
Getting out of the house is hard.
Nudging off family can be even harder.
The awkward relationship moments, now complicated.
I see doubt and embarrassment, but a symbolic bond.
Meanwhile, as a college freshman, he failed to return calls.
Sometimes, I feel care and emotional support,
Sometimes it’s out of necessity.
I don’t want to be in this position, but eventually he won’t make the same mistake.
I have always chased down the same reason: Feeling connected and a happy wedding.
