Greener

I try not to act bitter when I see life smiling brighter at you -
Because no matter how greener the grass is on your side,
My lawn has grass, and that's probably more than I deserve.
I don't work very hard, as evident in the chaotic mess.
Fortune smiled and said, "Gee, I should help that lawn out."
Lord knows that's the only reason I am where I'm at today.
So if you ever come 'round to this side of the woods,
This side of the world, this little patch of grass I call my lawn,
Do so knowing every step makes the grass just a little bit greener.
