I wish I could write poetry,
I want my words to flow
like the tears that stream
from the corners of my eyes,
each and every one coming together
like two lovers craving a lethal lip lock

I wish I could write poetry,
I want pictures to dance
in your head as I explain myself slowly but surely,
eventually making you feel the daggers
you throw at my body every time you hold her hand

I wish I could write poetry,
I want my emotions to caress your lips
and touch the back of your neck,
I want you to feel wanted and guilty at the same time,
the stanzas should get stuck in your throat,
the words should get tangled in your hair

I wish I could write poetry,
because then maybe you would understand how I feel
