A Love Story
Strangers
That’s how we started
I didn't know you
You didn't know me
Both living different lives
In the same world
Friends of a Friend
It progressed to be
She was my best friend
She was your girlfriend
We talked
Only when it was us three
Best of Friends
We soon became
When she broke your heart
Not caring what others thought
I helped you through it
I held you hand
You got back on your feet
Through my heartbeat
Lovers
Came next
That confusing time
I couldn't live without you
You told me the same
But I soon saw through your lies
Yes, you cared
But not the way I did
Heart Break
Stopped things
For a short time
I had the broken heart
You had what was mine
Lovers
That stage
Barely came
But I still thought I couldn't live without you
And so you came back
Best of Friends
We decided to be
We could still be together
But we wouldn't get hurt
It worked for a time
Friends of a Friend
We started to be
We thought we knew each other still
But it wasn't working
A wave, a hello
That was who we were
Strangers
Now we end
You don’t know me
And I really don’t know you
We are both living different lives
In the same cold, cruel world.
