Waiting
I'm waiting here on this corner,
Soaked and drowning in the rain and misery.
I staay here for another hour or so
And then I give up hope.
Hope that you'll come and save me,
Become a savior from loneliness.
There must be a reason behind it.
I make up excuses like this for many days.
But the next time it happens,
I'm still standing there for hours.
And then I realize you aren't coming.
I have to help myself, and perhaps
Accept loneliness for a bit.
At least until someone else comes along
And can save me from this.
There's always hope, and hope
Almost never runs out.
Very unlike patience that way.
But it might never happen.
And that's just a reality I have to accept.
