The love of a mother
A mother’s love,
Warm and tender,
You had it, I just never felt it.
You, were to busy.
You were my mother,
But acted like a friend.
When things got hard,
You sent me away.
The love of a mother,
Kind and sweet,
Was never mine.
And that’s ok I understand
Well I try.
Were just friends,
My mother and I.
We laugh and we joke
But never do we talk.
The love of a mother
I have never felt.
But, please try to love me,
For the love of a daughter.
