Daphne
Tears falling
I watch as my love is no longer
I grasp once more but she eludes me
A God I am
So mighty
Yet love is forever out of my reach
I am Tantalus, never gaining what I need
Always wanting
Though the earth itself shakes at my whim
This fools emotion
Burns my soul like so many rays of the Sun scorch the life below
What good can come of this?!
I ask myself at times
It seems that love in truth
Is blind
For I may weep and moan
But love it does betray me
If she cannot be my bride
Then she will be my crown
