Every day I watch myself walk in the same footprint, same puddle that says splash
painfully
I start to feel my unending nerves repeating, stepping through the same
emotions
Others around are able to control me with the emotions they are
concealing
Getting through each spIash they tell me that this life will make me
stronger
Speaking to myself in hushed tones, starting to believe this lie
also
Puppeteers, telling me what I should feel, knowing I will
listen
The splash gathers raindrops in the sky, knowing what I can
handle
Catching raindrops, something insignificant turns out to be
heavy
Consuming my every thought, wanting me to lose
control
Going from a simple rain to a downpour, yes a
downpour
Slipping into raindrops, no one can hear me
cry
Laughing, thinking that I was a just a silly
game
From each state of rain, a flood is
next
I drown, wanting to be
rescued
My tears fell
hard
