The dark I feel is unreal
Unlike anything anyone feels
The pain festering
Letting out crimson gold
Letting me see the sunshine
Warm and colored red
Driving out the cold I feel
In my heart and soul
Protecting me from the pain
Of living,breathing,feeling
Feeling things on a different level
Like my senses are super heightened
But in all the wrong areas
The dark closing in on me
Slowly but surely loosing sanity

Thank you! :) I really appriciate people who like my poems because I'm really shy about my writting. Sometimes the shortness is what makes it better :) but thanks I'll keep that in mind. I love your structure and how you added imagery, but I wish you wrote more of this poem.  My favorite line is "The dark closing in on me// Slowly but surely loosing sanity."  Excellent word choice, and I like how it flows.  I LOVE THIS POEM :)

profound just seems like such an inadequate word...it is...in the sense of a true poet, it is startling beyond believe, catching my breath and ripping it from my lungs, then filling them with sweeter softer flows. simply astounding...i LOVE it :)
