Brave Little Soldier
If you look into his eyes, you see depression
resentment,
bleakness,
dejection.
No one else is just like him; he’s different.
From the start of the battle, he fought and fought.
And it was indeed a bittersweet win.
But still there is no joy on his face.
Oh daddy you are my brave little soldier
fighting the enemy by yourself
in the process of almost killing yourself
however this war is long over.
but you are still shell shocked.
you are letting loneliness consume you
i know you will never recover from the pain
of fighting in this heartbreaking war.
but it’s been two years and we need you.
i need you.
Just daddy, oh daddy,
please be happy
just for me please,
just for your little girl.
