Mixed Feelings
Did I do the right thing?
Do you hate me now?
I walk through the halls,
My head keeps spinning
You stare me down
It’s like,
It’s like,
It’s like your looking right through me!
Either that or
Or
Or you’re looking right into my soul!
I don’t know which is worse! I try to stay strong
I stare right back
But it doesn’t fool you
No! No you see straight through it.
I look down
Eye contact is killing me
Times slows down as you look at me
The butterfly’s stuck in my stomach,
They won’t stop moving
You bump me hard in the shoulder.
And it breaks my heart.
I know I’ve hurt you too.
But please explain to me!
What was I supposed to do?
What did you expect?
Did you think I would ignore it?
No, no I couldn’t do that!
Just please don’t hate me!
I’m as sorry as a fallen leaf.
And so worried the music doesn’t skip a beat
Tell me where did I go wrong?
Is this entirely my fault?
Or is there a little blame to share?
Your look is like a stab.
You’re as intense as a night,
Black and dark.
Please try to understand!
I had so many reasons.
And I know you did to!
Just… try not to hate me!
