The rainbow shines of our many hues—
Red—you're as graceful as a red-winged blackbird.
Orange—you're as beautiful as the one from Angry Birds® round and silent.
Yellow, I long to be close to you like a yellow-bellied sapsucker longs to eat bugs.
Blue, the sadness I feel when you depart, like a lone bluebird perched on my windowsill.
Green, you are as tough and dangerous as a green anaconda.
Indigo, you are as pretty as an indigo bunting.
Violet, you're as bright as a violet bird.
Without you, my world would be
Black. Like Death.
