Rapture
April 24, 2013
On Monday
I opened the floodgates
of my broken heart,
and let the world in.
It rushed at me,
silent and cold.
I died in the arms
of my English class.

Wonderful! Simply wonderful. The ending was surprising, but it was also a blunt snap back to reality. I also love how you said you opened the "floodgates," and then said the world was "silent and cold," much like water through literal floodgates. I don't know if that was on purpose or not, but I especially love it. Good job.
