Through the Window
Through the window
We are separated
It's crystalline transparance
Draws the line between us
I gently fingerprint the blue glass
As my palm rests upon yours
We are only separated by half an inch
But yet so far apart
Half an inch
A foot, A mile?
I'd walk a thousand for you
The journey of a warrior
Because of this window.
For now I'll peer through it
Because as of right now
The love I breathed out
Has fogged up the window
Clouding reality with a blanket of fear
I'll wait for it to warm up,
The fog will disappear
And I'll break the glass
I'll bleed as the shards pierce my outstretched fist
Someday, I'll have the strength
To break this wall
And you will too
Then, and only then
Will our love be true
