Mom.....
I long to see her. Her absence eats at my heart. She hasn’t been there since the start. As much as I would cry and beg, I was never able to cling to her leg. She left when I was young. When I had just begun. There were many dark skies, filled with my cries, but she was never there to help me. Around I strode with a heavy load. What did I do to deserve this? There isn’t a thing I won’t miss. The way she could make me smile, and forget the boo-boo for awhile. The songs she sang, the joy she brang...gone. I will never have that again. At the hours I miss her most, I know she is nothing more than a ghost.
