I stand on the edge of the salty water as the waves crash into my legs. The waves feel like a million tiny rain drops hitting my face during a storm. The hot sun beats down on my graham cracker colored skin, tan and warm.

The slow, tropical breeze blows, smelling like fresh oranges. I kick off my flip flops and walk further into the ocean. The salty water feels like sand paper on my skin. The laughter of kids around me is so loud it sounds like a thunderstorm.

The long, hot day spent on the beach comes to an end as the sunset forms in the sky. Orange, yellow, and pink colors swirl in the sky looking like a bowl of sherbet ice cream. His fingers interlock with mine and we walk down the beach leaving pairs of footprints in the wet sand, like a bunny leaving tracks in the snow. The slow, tropical breeze against our skin and the salty water now crashes slowly against our feet, as we take the endless walk down the beach, hand in hand.
