At the center of boredom is a teenager walking alone.
If they jump into the present, they’ll land on reality.
When they tiptoe through the Valley of Loneliness, they’ll find more of the same.
The shape of the past fits each and everyone of them.
The enemy of happiness slithers between the dark, empty road.
The empty feel that lurks in them echoes endlessly.
For when you toss sadness to the wind, it returns as a broken smile.
