Forest Frog
Hopping from leaf to leaf
eating flies with relief
climbing from tree to tree
ready to be free
Wet rain drops fall from the sky
almost able to fly
quietly waiting for prey
but they are too far away
High above the ground i jump
looking like a big lump
slowly i fall
just like a rolling ball
Stuck in a world so big
while I'm smaller than a fig
In the darkness I hide
afraid of getting caught in the tide
Illuminated by the moon
i will be asleep soon
everything is quieter at night
and i become full of fright
There is a cooling breeze
beneath the trees
exhausted, so i lay
all from a day at play
