In All Truth and Honesty
In all truth and honesty,
I died last summer.
When the sun went down
And the next day school begun.
In all truth and honesty,
I barely survived the year;
I've been tired and sad
Most of the time.
In all truth and honesty,
I didn't learn much;
Except for why this chemical
Likes that one,
And how this doesn't help in relationships.
In all truth and honesty,
I learned a lot
About how much a kiss can hurt
Especially when it isn't given.
In all truth and honesty,
I wasn't that surprised
When boys turned to things of nightmares
And girls to creatures of wrath.
In all truth and honesty,
It didn't faze me much
When my grades dropped
And my hair became greasy and unkempt.
In all truth and honesty,
It didn't bother me.
But.
In all truth and honesty,
I'm wondering
With this summer only days away,
If I will revived,
Or if the world would allow me to fade away.
