Good Samaritan
A hundred miles apart
And yet my heart only seeks out yours to thank you
You didn't have to do what you did for me
Yet you did and for that I am thankful
A 5 year friendship you ended
Just to show everyone what was right
Is it really right to choose me
Over someone who was like your brother.
I was alone and you reached out to me
As if you could see my pain clearly through the screen that separated us
As if you could understand my pain like it was your own
I didn't even understand it myself
Should there ever be a point
Where the line between right and wrong
Is never crossed by someone in the wrong
Just for the sake of friendship
Should you ever cross over to the right side
For a girl you hardly knew
Well you did
And for that I am thankful
