Transformation
Honesty clung to my shoulders
Steered me to the loneliest part of my mind
Where I was left, screaming, with irritated imagination
I return distorted, sanity torn by jagged words
Words heavy with sleeplessness, born from sadness
Words that left me filthy, shaking, but proud.
Look at me now, my writing's more than watered-down words
I sat crying while writing this, but it's honest
And I've learned honesty can never mean happiness.
(I am broken,
but so proud.)
