Treacherous
Words mean so little when you’re just a little too late.
The more I hope for us, the longer I wait.
In dreams, you greet me with a comforting smile.
But that doesn’t fix the distance between us, all the miles.
In reality were both in different states.
So I just wait for it all to be picked up by fate.
I just want to see you,
Finally see if everything is true.
Cause I feel like what we have is a tragic love affair,
This to me seems like a good pair.
Honestly, I don’t know what could transpire.
Everything could go great, or it could go up in flames like a fire.
I just hope you don’t break me like a promise.
Honey, all this time I just want you to be honest.
I’ll do anything you say, if you say it with your hands.
I’d be smart to walk away, but you’re like quicksand.
I can’t decide if it’s choice,
Then I hear the sound of my own voice.
I’ll ask you to stay,
Just until the light of day.
This daydream is dangerous,
This hope is treacherous.
