When My Demons Hide
Look into my eyes,
That’s when my demons hide.
I don’t want to let you down,
I want to hide the truth, I want to shelter you.
But I’m already hell bound.
So I don’t know what else I can do.
When the days are cold,
When all your dreams fail,
When the cards all fold,
I want to be the one you hold.
But with my demons inside,
Don’t get too close,
There’s no where we can hide,
After all, they’ll always haunt us, our past and ghost.
For you I want to be perfect, but I can’t be.
I have a past that haunts me too,
Except I don’t let it become my defeat.
But it’s taking over how I feel about me and you.
I don’t want to bring you down with me,
So for now I say goodbye,
And let my demons envelope me.
