distanced
How can their eyes be so distant?
As if waiting for the world to end.
So dark and distant, as if their drowning in a sea of there despair.
Behind the fake light of there smiles I can see it?
The dull coloration, dark and hidden from the unknowing.
I observe them, curiously I wonder why the light behind their eyes is gone, swallowed in the storm.
I watch them smile so bright and retell me some parts of there lives.
Running through a natural forest-climbing the trees.
Going on adventures at sea- adventuring to space in a cardboard box.
Whatever happened to that?
The light behind their eyes?
did it drown and lose sight of all it was worth?
Did it move the love from them while the light struggled against the vast dark waters?
you get a feeling of commitment.
You want to help them in their time of need.
You want to do your best.
But you will probably fail.
Because the light that was once there glowing behind their eyes making them radiant and bright.
Has died along with the rest of there soul-a poison that pales the skin as it drains the life from the corpses very veins.
eventually unknowing while you observe them.
the water rushes between their legs, dark and cold.
Before you know it they drown strangled by its cold grasp.
Then the ones it has seeded are dragged to the darkest part of the ocean.
Leaving you again more curious afterwards, because their never was the answer, to the question you posed.
Why did the light eventually die from their eyes?
