I'd Like to Tell the World
I'd like to tell the world what I'm all about,
But I don't believe they'd listen, I can't let it out.
Would they laugh?
Would they cry?
Would they leave me alone?
Would they answer if I called, or hit reject on their phone?
I'd like to tell the world why I'm hurting inside,
But I doubt that they'd hear me, I could only silently cry.
The people only see what they want to,
They turn their heads at the poor.
If you were sick they'd just leave you,
Nobody would answer their door,
I'd like to tell the world how to laugh, how to breathe,
But I know they'd think I'm lying, I'm someone they can't believe.
When you fall, hit the ground
Would you know how to heal?
Or would you lay there, breathing slowly
Since the world told not to feel?
I'd like to tell the world how to quit with their lies,
But my words never make it, my voice wavers and dies.
