A compassionate angel
This tree is staring.
I didn't ask for his gangling
arms,
Or uprooted beastly
feet.
Just his smile of a thousand buds.
So why does this wind
push
his desperate body towards.
My trembling window pane.
A hand is on the window, much
smaller than my own.
Just a distinct memory of a
child I used to know.
But I am lying in the arms of a compassionate angel.
Watching the little girl waving at my
staring tree.
From up above.
